Facebook Ads translation with Crowdin

Crowdin is a must-have tool for businesses looking to expand globally. Running localized ads through Facebook Ads is a powerful way to reach international markets. With the integration of Crowdin, Facebook Ads translation and localization becomes seamless, allowing businesses to efficiently translate Facebook Ads. This integration streamlines workflows, making it easier to manage and launch localized campaigns.

This integration is implemented as a custom file format. You will need to export your campaigns as a CSV file, then translate with Crowdin and upload the translated CSV back through Facebook Ads.

Before uploading your files to the Crowdin project, you may want to check the Project -> Tools section to configure the application before use. Especially if you need to add or remove campaign data that should or should not be translated.

Note:

• When exporting ads from Facebook, you should select the CSV format.

• Facebook exports tab-separated CSV files. If you need to edit the file before uploading it to Crowdin, make sure not to change the CSV configuration when saving. Also, do not rename exported files. Crowdin expects CSV files to be named “export…anything .csv”.

• Facebook allows multilingual campaigns. When importing campaigns translated with Crowdin back to Facebook, you will get one campaign per language. Campaigns will have a language code in their names.
